San Diego was overwhelmingly wonderful! We had some seriously beautiful weather, but from the folks in the area, it seems like this type of weather can be quite common. As usual, I had completely underestimated San Diego and all it has to offer, but our most excellent tour guide, Ricky Krahn, kept us moving with a fun-filled agenda for three days. We had 4 nights sitting right on Mission Bay, perfectly situated for bike riding and hitting the Mission Bay Beach and touring the San Diego area. We will be back!
Day 1 (April 6): Point Loma, Cabrillo National Monument, Old Town San Diego, Cordoba Beach, downtown San Diego (BTW, to our former LM & NG workmates: we ran into Kenny Evans and his wife when we were out for dinner in downtown San Diego–small world to find a fellow Coloradoan in San Diego! Wish I got a photo!)

Day 2 (April 7): Torrey Pines State Reserve and Wine Tasting up in the Hills East of San Diego
Day 3 (April 8): Early morning 14 mile bike ride around Mission Bay and then wandering the coastal areas towns of Encinitas and Solano
