Back on the road…California & Redwood National Park

May 10 – 14: We spent Mother’s Day weekend seeing friends in the Bay Area and reminiscing of our time in the area when we first started working for Lockheed and started dating. Whew! Those were some memories! Then we headed up the 101 (not through San Fran with the rig) to the Redwoods National Park.

May 14 – May 18: While we detoured around east of the Bay Area, we caught back up to the 101 in San Rafael with an overnight in Willits on our way up to Crescent City and the Redwood National Park. We didn’t see much in Willits due to thinking our fridge was on the blink, but a little too much trouble shooting while in Morgan Hill resulted in operator error and all is good with the fridge!

We drove Liv down the “Avenue of the Giants” just south of Fortuna after warnings that you shouldn’t drive a rig longer than 30′. Thankfully, there were no problems and she enjoyed the views!
