May 18 – May 21: We cruised up the 101 with the first stop in Newport staying in South Beach Oregon State Park and had a side trip to Portland to attend a big Rasmussen family celebration for Rocky Kemper’s college graduation party (bummer, no photos). We did manage another side trip to Salem on the way back to Newport where I got to visit with a former Linfield roommate, Katy Trunt Unrien. So good to catch up!
May 21 – May 25: Moved the rig further up the coast to Nehalem State Park to check out the northern Oregon coast, see where Lewis & Clark wintered, check out Cannon Beach and Tillamook Air Museum housed in an old blimp building from WWII.
