October 4, 2018 (Arches National Park & Moab, UT): Tom and I thought it was time to see the National Parks just across the Colorado border in Utah…can’t believe we had never been to the Moab area! Arches National Park totally surprised me with stone outcroppings in every possible view. We hiked to Landscape Arch, which looks like it should have been named Delicate Arch, which it was supposed to have been named. The original map maker mixed up Landscape Arch and Delicate Arch on his map and that is the rest of the story! We ended up missing seeing Delicate Arch, mostly due to the view point road being washed out due to the big thunderstorm we had that morning.
Renee and Oliver joined us for a good part of the weekend! We took an evening drive back to Arches NP to view the “Windows” area. Renee & Oliver rented a little cabin at our KOA, which was decked out well with a barbeque and a fire pit and a lovely view!
