A few folks have wondered what we actually do in retirement. As you can see, so far we mostly travel, but we’ve been busy with a variety of other things.
Other than getting ready to head out later this week for our next outing, my main focus is quilting, hand stitching and creating. I worked on the 4-piece quad-tick called “Seasons” over the past year when we were home as a commissioned piece for the entry way into our fellowship hall at First Congregational Church, Boulder, CO, which hung in our sanctuary for a few weeks prior to the final hanging in in Plymouth Hall. I also created a couple of stoles. The blue Advent stole was made for Wendy Kidd’s ordination in January, the “Seasons” stole was made for Chris Braudway-Bauman in commemoration of her 30th anniversary of her ordination. I also love to work in wool felt and created these little cardinal ornaments for some of my quilting friends.

In addition to sewing and creating, we have been doing a bit of traveling, entertaining and Tom’s been trying to track down all of my cousins in his genealogy program for our family reunion this summer.

Beautiful Thanks for sending. Beth
