Lake Superior, Light Houses, National Parks and Friends…OK, Mostly Friends – Part 2: Wisconsin

July 24 (Wednesday) we swung down to Chipewa Falls, Wisconsin to visit close Lockheed England friends, Dave and Theresa LeDuc, who also relocated to the Denver area to finish their careers and then moved back to their hometown area for retirement.

Tom and Vigo backed Liv down their long driveway where we found a comfortable spot to hook up and spend a few nights. We entertained in our rig for Happy Hour the first night, then spent the rest of our time in LeDuc’s house, which David has been building for the past few years.

Wine tasting in Wisconsin!

Dave and Theresa’s daughter, Baily joined us in the rig for a glass of wine.

As you move north, cheese becomes curds and you can do lots of stuff with it!

July 26 – 29: We wandered up to Spider Lake in Northern Wisconsin to catch up with great friend from college, Kim Albee and her partner, Jennifer Nelson at their cottage. People in the midwest and northern states have cottages…not cabins…very quaint! We saw Kim and Jen in Waco, TX in our visit to Magnolia Farms this past spring. Two visits in one year! We also got to see Kim’s mom, Betty, who I met 38 years ago and cousin Dana.
