Washington D.C. Area (Oct 12 – 20)

October 12 – 20: We visit the Washington DC area frequently as Will and Chrissy as well as Tom’s siblings, Tory and Lincoln and their families live in here. But my sister, Dawn, had never been to Washington D.C., so it was time for her to see the amazing Nation’s Capitol.

Family Fun!

  • Will and Chrissy introduced to their new dog, Stitch. I guess that makes us “grand-dog” parents!
  • Dawn, Carla and I toured Alexandria and took the water taxi down to The Wharf.
  • Tory and Bruce had us over for dinner and I was able to give them a new quilt to commemorate the destruction of their house almost 2 years ago with a tree through the middle and it’s resurrection.
  • Will expanded our restaurant experience with a trip to Korean BBQ for lunch.
  • We went wine tasting just west of Centreville in Manassas with Carla and cousin Lexi.
  • Will and Chrissy invited everyone over for BBQ’ed ribs at their new townhouse in Centreville.

Monday, Oct 13: Dawn, Tom and I toured the Mall area and Arlington Cemetery.

Sunday, Oct 13: A beautiful sunny day was spent wandering around Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home with Dawn, Will and Chrissy.
