Tom and I kicked off our next big travel adventure with 2 weeks in my home state of Montana mostly hanging out at our family lake place on Noxon Reservoir near Trout Creek, MT. I my humble opinion, this is “God’s Country” and we have been coming back to visit here every summer since the last time I lived in Montana before moving to California to work for Lockheed in 1985. I never thought of Montana in any special way until my math professor from Linfield after asking me where I was from, stated unequivocally that “Montana is God’s Country”. It stuck. My heart is here and I still refer to our visits as “coming home”. I also have lots of family who I love to visit as well.
We kicked off 4th of July weekend with family time with my sister’s family (Dawn, Dan, Logan, Jamie & baby Victoria, Sandy, Brian and baby Xander), my brother and his wife (Jay & Katharine) and our lovely Grace.
I also was able to visit all of my aunts and uncles and many of my cousins. I did spare them photos I usually take at every meeting.

I love listening to trains from having this across from our family lake place for over 40 years
We are set up where my dad used to set up his 5th wheel camper over 20 years ago. While you can see the trailer in the background, Dawn and Dan have a beautiful cabin that faces the lake.

Pure heaven for sewing! I love to take over my sister’s sewing area when I can AND she has a Bernina sewing machine!

Looks wonderful
But how do you deal with all those Trumpers in “God’s Country”
