Devils Tower National Monument
May 23: Devils Tower National Monument is about a half hour off I-90 on the eastern border of Wyoming. It’s not a big site, with a few great hikes around the base of the geological formation known as Devils Tower with grand views of the Belle Fourche River and valley.

May 23 – 25: Spearfish, Deadwood, Sturgis in Black Hills Area
We spent 2 nights in Spearfish, which is a lovely area. One day we wandered down Spearfish Canyon and saw 3 waterfalls, Bridal Veil Falls, Spearfish Falls & Roughlock Falls with great hikes around the area. We were going to go to Deadwood for lunch, but about 20 minutes in Deadwood was enough. So we went to the fine town of Sturgis. I can’t imagine how 100,000’s of motocyclists descend upon this town in August. Needless to say, we would never want to go to Sturgis at that time. In fact, we probably never need to visit Sturgis again.
