Interestingly enough, August was busy with visitors and then the end of September into October was busy. The latter group was in search of the NE Fall Colors! As you can see from both the August blog and this one, when visitors come there is a standard routine; drive or hike in the beauty of our area and pick up LIVE lobsters. In fact, our lobster meals basically consist of lobster, butter, bread and beverages (L3B). Once you figure out what is important, why bother with sides!
Karen & Jay
Karen Cumbo and Jay Rourke visited the area the end of September where we visited the sites around Schoodic as well as Cadillac Mountain and a drive around the Loop Road on MDI in the fog.

Heidi & Ted
Heidi & Ted Vincent’s tour included a hike on the Hollingsworth Trail in the Petite Manan Wildlife Refuge just NE of us, the typical walk down to Schoodic Point for sunset as well as a stop at Raven’s Nest, and lets not forget LOBSTER!

Julie & Wally
My roommate from college, Julie Slaviero King and her husband, Wally, were visiting Maine from Wisconsin and we were able to meet up for lunch with them. Too bad they didn’t get to come to our apartment for LOBSTER, but I know they had it many times on their visit to Maine.

Dan & Janice
My cousin Dan Rasmussen and his wife, Janice, found excellent weather for sitting outside at Lunch on the Wharf in Corea, a drive up to the blueberry barrens near Cherryfield and scenic tour of the nearby lakes and ponds…as well as a LOBSTER dinner! Lunch on the Wharf in Corea is one of my primary recommendations for a great lunch out when asked at the Welcome Center.

Cathy and Nancy
Cathy Jarnigan and her partner Nancy McIntosh were joined by Cathy’s sister and her husband, Steph and Keith Ford for a few days in Acadia National Park. After a few days over on MDI, they joined us on the Schoodic Point. We took them up the Anvil Trail to the Schoodic Head for great views both to the SW and NE.

The pictures are great. You both should work/consult for the the Maine Department of Tourism. Thanks for sharing……Jon
