We have been entertained in the most hospitable and generous manner over the past few weeks as we traveled:

• Down east coast of Florida to Port St. Lucie to spend 24 hours with Tim Martin and Cynthia Woempner-Martin
• Lunch with Evi, Tolis and Eleni Deselis in Stuart, FL (bummer, no photo!)
• 5 days in Fort Myers with my sister Dawn and her husband, Dan, celebrating Dan’s retirement as well
• Bonus encounter with Jenn & Mike Baehre near Fort Myers on their sail boat

Saturday, January 20: Port Lucie with Tim & Cynthia–we were the second guests on their new Crownline boat on the St. Lucie River, which included a tour of the area that James Bond, “Moonraker”, was filmed in a boat scene that was depicted as Brazil!

Sunday, January 21: Drive across Central Florida and around Lake Okeechobee.

Tuesday, January 23: Dan took us out in his center console fishing boat to rendezvous with Jenn & Mike on Sanitas  near Punta Russa. Boat ride for lunch in Fort Myers Beach with a very foggy trip back to Jenn and Mike’s boat. Good thing that Dan had that fancy “fish finder” that can find anything in the fog!

Wednesday, January 24: Boat ride out to Gasparilla Island with lunch in Boca Grande at the old Florida styled restaurant, Temptations, transportation provided by golf carts and bonus purchase of fresh shrimp right off the boat!
